Bridges

If you have broken, lost, or decayed teeth, Dr. Bugaj can create a dental bridge appliance to replace one or more of your missing teeth. Dental bridges are not just cosmetic; they help with chewing and speaking, as well as with maintaining the shape of your face and alleviating stress in your bite.

Fixed Bridge

A fixed dental bridge replaces one or more teeth by placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the space and attaching artificial teeth to them. This "bridge" is then cemented into place.  In addition to filling the space of missing teeth, a fixed bridged prevents other teeth from shifting.  As the fixed bridge is permanently cemented into place, daily maintenance for the bridge is the same as if it were natural teeth.

Removable Bridge

Many people prefer fixed bridges because they look and feel better and usually last longer than removable bridges.  While a less expensive option, removable bridges are an alternative between cost and a long-term solution.

A removable partial dental bridge can be taken out of the mouth and is usually made from acrylic and biocompatible metals. Sometimes physiological, economical, or aesthetic limitations favor a removable appliance rather than an implant or a fixed bridge. There are several methods that Dr. Bugaj can employ to secure your removable bridge so that you can even comfortably bite into an apple without it getting displaced.
